Established in Notting Hill in 1914 as a traditional haberdashery, J.T.
Morgan has now moved to a new workshop in Shepherds Bush, where both
the old stock of 3.8 million pre-war buttons in Baekerlite, cassein,
erinoid, Mother of Pearl, horn and wood are to be found as well as all
the usual requirements for garment construction and soft furnishings;
zipps for jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses and jackets of all types as
well as loose zipping for cushions and loose covers; sewing threads of
various qualities; interfacings, linings and interlinings; also base
cloths and pocketings; and braids, tapes, webbings, cords and lace.
A wide range of materials for Arts and Crafts projects.
All the usual services of pattern making and grading, also button
covering, are provided as well as alterations and repairs to existing
garments and bespoke tailoring.
Trade Repairs and Alterations.
I have 35 years of experience in tailoring and garment construction, and
am more than happy to provide a back-up service to your existing
facilities for repairs and alterations.
Individual members of the public are more than welcome to visit my workshop for my personal attention in the afternoon.
